Social post preview and character counter

Paste a post once and see it on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, and Bluesky. Each preview shows the count the way that platform counts it, where the feed cuts the post off, and any rule it breaks. Free, no sign-up, and nothing you paste leaves your browser.

Frequently asked questions

What are the character limits on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, and Bluesky?
X allows 280 characters on a standard account; X Premium accounts can post up to 25,000. LinkedIn allows 3,000. Instagram allows 2,200 characters and up to 30 hashtags. Threads allows 500. Bluesky allows 300.
Why does X count my post differently from other counters?
X weighs characters. Every link counts as 23 characters, however long it is. Emoji and characters from scripts such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean count as 2. This checker counts the way X does, so a post that fits here fits on X.
How does Bluesky count characters?
Bluesky's 300 limit counts the characters a reader sees. An emoji built from several parts, such as a family emoji or a skin-tone emoji, counts as 1.
Where does each feed cut a post off with "see more"?
LinkedIn shows about 210 characters or 3 lines on desktop before "see more". Instagram shows about 125 characters or 2 lines before "more". X folds posts longer than 280 characters behind "Show more". Threads and Bluesky show the whole post. Platforms change these, so treat them as measured values; they were last checked on October 9, 2026.
Are links clickable in every post?
No. Links in Instagram captions are not clickable, so use the link in your bio or a link sticker. On LinkedIn, a link in the post body can lower reach; many people put it in the first comment. On Bluesky, a link is clickable only when the app that posts it adds a link facet, which Daoco does when it publishes.
Is my post sent anywhere?
No. The check runs in your browser. Daoco records only counts, such as the text length and which platforms you checked, never the text.
